Two people are dead after an early morning fire on Saturday in Gunnison.
The Gunnison Police Department said a passer-by called 911 at around 5:20 a.m., about a house fire at the 100 block North Colorado Street.
Two police officers arrived and assisted four people out of the burning residence. The police department said two occupants were found deceased inside an upstairs bedroom.
Jan. 30--SAGINAW -- Fire destroyed Saginaw Park Baptist Church early Saturday.
"The steeple and a wall are still standing, but that's basically all that's left of the church," said Michael Brusenhan, the church's music minister. "The sanctuary, the fellowship hall, the offices, the roof are all gone."
A fire broke out at a commercial building on Detroit’s West Side sending explosions and huge flames into the sky Friday evening, authorities said.
Fire officials said a building spanning a city block on Schaefer Highway near Plymouth Road went up in flames causing a level three hazardous materials situation. Officials were concerned becaue chemicals, gas tanks, and other hazardous materials were kept on the property.
